Supervision
Supervision for Therapists
Providing therapy is deeply rewarding—and deeply challenging. Growth as a therapist is not just about learning techniques, but about cultivating presence, attunement, and embodied awareness so you can meet clients fully without taking on their pain. Clinical supervision and person of the therapist supervision offer a structured, reflective, and relational space to do this work.
I provide supervision for therapists pursuing LPC or LPC-MHSP licensure in Tennessee, with a focus on somatic therapy, trauma therapy, and integrative approaches. Together, we explore both the practical and the experiential aspects of therapy, supporting your development as a clinician and as a person.
My Approach
My supervision style is grounded in the person of the therapist model, approached from a somatic and relational perspective. Within the container of supervision, we engage in an ongoing experiential inquiry into what arises within you as you provide therapy:
- Embodied attunement – Learning to notice and work with what is evoked in your body and mind during sessions, including emotional responses, tension, or habitual patterns.
- Therapeutic presence – Cultivating the capacity to be grounded, receptive, and clear, so you can meet clients without becoming entangled in their pain and you can keep the relational field open.
- Reflective practice – Integrating insights from your own experiences, growing both your awareness and your skill as a trauma-informed, somatic therapist.
Supervision also supports practical growth through:
- Case consultation and discussion – Reviewing challenging cases, identifying patterns, and brainstorming trauma-informed interventions.
- Skill development – Building mastery in therapeutic methods, including somatic psychotherapy, IFS, Brainspotting , polyvagal theory, and mindfulness-based approaches.
Somatic and Integrative Orientation
As a somatic therapist, my supervision emphasizes the body-centered dimension of therapy. This includes:
- Attuning to where clients hold frozen trauma experiences in the body
- Recognizing when clients are out of their window of tolerance and guiding them back
- Seeing how trauma and attachment wounds are maintained at the physical, energetic, and relational levels
- Supporting release and integration while simultaneously developing resilience and resources
- Gradually refining your container to be clearer, more grounded, and more accurately attuned to support the spontaneous unfolding of healing
I integrate somatic experiencing, parts work (IFS), Brainspotting, polyvagal theory, and the Realization Process, offering supervision that reflects both depth and flexibility.
Bilingual Support
I provide clinical supervision in both English and Spanish, supporting therapists who work in multilingual contexts or want guidance in cross-cultural clinical work.
